Change of Address

If you change your address, you are required by law to update the address information on your driver’s license/ID card within 14 days. This must be done in person. You will be required to present your current driver’s license. You will be given a temporary license and your new driver’s license will be received by mail within 30 days. If your driver’s license has been lost you will be required to present other identification.

Acceptable Identification if Alberta driver’s license lost: 

• Alberta Health Care Card
• Birth Certificate
• Valid Passport
• Valid Firearms Card
• Permanent Residency/Citizenship Card
